Privacy Notice

Last updated 2026-08-21

This notice explains what personal data Trainaro collects when you use a gym's Trainaro-powered app, why, and what rights you have over it. It's a summary written for members and gym staff, not a formal legal document.

What we collect

Account details (name, email, phone, address if provided), and gym-related activity: class bookings, appointments, attendance check-ins, memberships, and invoices. If your gym enables online payments, payment card details are handled directly by Stripe and never stored on our servers.

Why

To run the gym management service you or your gym signed up for: booking classes, tracking attendance and memberships, sending invoices, and letting gym staff manage their roster.

Who we share it with

The specific gym you're a member of (they own your membership data). A small number of service providers that help us run the app: Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Cloudflare (photo storage), Sentry (error monitoring, with email addresses, phone numbers, and authentication tokens filtered out before it reaches them), and PostHog (product analytics). We never sell personal data.

How long we keep it

Financial records (invoices, payment history) are kept for the statutory retention period required by law (around 7 years in the EU). Other account data is kept while your account is active, or until you request its removal.

Cookies & analytics

We use PostHog to understand how the app is used (page views and product usage trends), which relies on browser storage similar to cookies. We don't use this data for advertising.

Your rights

You can view and update most of your own data from your account settings at any time. You can request deletion of your account and personal data (subject to the financial-record retention above) from your profile page, or by contacting us at support@trainaro.app.
